Margaret Marie Osora

Margaret Marie Osora age 64. Beloved wife of Daniel Pentek and loving mother of Christopher and Carolyn Pentek. Devoted daughter of Stanley (deceased) and Ann (deceased) Osora (nee Marchese). Dear sister of Grace Erhart (husband David) and cherished aunt of Meagan and Claire Erhart. Margaret was married to Dan for 33 years. Dan’s brother Paul and wife Gayle (both deceased) and sisters Judy P. Arthur, Suzanne Pentek (husband Kit Kuehnle) and Betty Ann Pentek (husband Bart Brier) all loved and appreciated Margaret immensely. Margaret attended Mercy High School in Middletown, and she was a 1984 graduate of Fairfield University. She later received an MBA from the University of Connecticut. UCONN is where Margaret met Dan (she asked him out!) and they started what developed into a long-lasting and loving marriage. Margaret enjoyed working as a Human Resources professional and was very successful at it. She was an HR Manager at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Orange for 14 years and an HR Director at Covidian (now Medtronic) in North Haven. Then she decided to work in the non-profit sector, so she became the HR Director at New Reach in New Haven and finally, the Vice President of HR at Boys and Girls Village in Milford. Margaret loved travel, her parents’ house in Westbrook (where she spent summers growing up), animals, gardening (her tomatoes!), vacations and most of all her children Christopher and Carolyn (Carrie). She planned many summer vacations at Cape Cod as well at trips to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, San Francisco, Mt. Zion Nation Park and other great destinations. Many vacations included some of Dan’s siblings or her sister Grace which allowed the extended family to grow closer and for them to appreciate Margaret even more for the wonderful person she was. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the caregivers at LiveWell Alliance for the loving care they provided to Margaret for the past 18 months. A Catholic Mass will be held immediately following at St. Rita’s Church (St. Paul the VI Parish) 1620 Whitney Ave at 12noon.
