February 2, 1923 - April 21, 2022

Mary J. Gambardella Sullo, 99, of Branford passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21,2022. She is survived by her loving daughter Deloris Bohannon (Nate) of Branford, two beloved granddaughters, Johanna (Shay) DeAndrus of Northford and Danielle Bohannon (Matt) of Terryville. and two cherished great grandsons, Caden and Peyton DeAndrus. She was predeceased by sisters Rae DeAngelis, Margaret Cacace, Elizabeth Sullo, Philomena and Anna Gambardella and brothers Andrew, Dominic, Anthony, Joseph, Alphonse and James Gambardella and her best friend Anne DeCola Fraulo. Mary was born Feb. 2,1923 in New Haven a daughter of the late Dominic and Philomena Baldino Gambardella. She loved to cook and bake, especially her famous anginettes and enjoyed trips to the casino. Mary's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the staff at the Branford Hills Health Care Center, especially Shannon and Dashe for the loving and compassionate care given to Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 11:00 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:30
