In New Haven August 30, 2016 Joseph P. McGuire 79, of East Haven, formerly of North Haven, Hamden and Lanphiers Cove, Branford. Beloved husband of Patricia Morrell McGuire. Loving father of Joseph "Jay" McGuire (Kathleen) of Orange, Tracy Boyle (Terry) of Hamden and Kimberly Topitzer (David) of Tolland, brother of William McGuire of Morristown, NJ, and Jane Hamilton of Guilford. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Meghan McGuire, TJ Boyle, Jr., Ryan McGuire, Melissa Boyle, Oliver Topitzer, Molly McGuire, Delia Topitzer and Shane Boyle. He was predeceased by a brother James McGuire and sisters Bridget Mahon and Frances Morrison. Joe was born in New Haven May 5, 1937, son of the late James T. and Bridget Purcell McGuire. Prior to his retirement he was a Lithographer for Eastern Press, Horton Printing and Hoffman Printing. Mr. McGuire will be fondly remembered for the love of his family and adding happiness to every room he entered. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Saturday at 9:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
