Mariette B. Moan

In Meriden October 2, 2015 Mariette B. Moan 80, of Hamden. Wife of the late Arthur E. Moan, Jr. Loving mother of Sr. Mariette J. Moan, ASCJ of Hamden and Louise Bouteiller and her husband Oliver of Cheshire, sister of Pauline (Brodeur) Blanchette. Also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.. Predeceased by brothers Reginald and Henri Brodeur. Mrs. Moan was born in West Warwick, RI, August 14, 1935, daughter of the late Camille H. and Regina LaRocque Brodeur. She graduated from St. John the Baptist School in Rhode Island and Putnam Catholic Academy, Putnam, CT. Mariette was the 2013 Hearts of the Community Recipient, Sacred Heart Academy, Hamden, was a Charter Member and Past President of Columbiettes Ladies Auxiliary #7124, Hamden, Past Treasurer of Sacred Heart Academy Mothers Club and Past President of Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Mothers Club Hamden, Member of the Ladies Guild of the Tabernacle of St. Brendan Church, New Haven and member of the New Haven Council of Catholic Women. She was a valiant, courageous and gracious woman, a faith-filled and faithful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. The family would like to thank all of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, especially those with whom Mariette lived recently at Sacred Heart Manor, the Daughters of our Lady of the Garden, the nursing staff at Sacred Heart Manor, the VNA of South Central Connecticut, Franciscan Home Healthcare, the medical staff at Meriden MidState Hospital, Joyce Saller and all those who have faithfully offered their friendship, lov, and prayerful support. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Manor Chapel, 261 Benham St. Hamden. Friends are asked to to directly to the Chapel. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3 - 6 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden.
