Lucille Heavren McIntyre

In Madison December 11, 2012 Lucille Heavren McIntyre 94,longtime resident of Hamden. Wife of the late Thomas J. McIntyre. Loving mother of Thomas J. McIntyre (Linda) of Oxford, Dennis McIntyre (Sharon) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Terrence J. McIntyre (Jane) of Boca Raton, FL and Mary-Eileen McIntyre Sartiano (Francis) of Madison, sister of Mary Heavren Budds of West Haven. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Meaghan, Siobhan, Thomas III, Kyle, Troy, Terrence Jr., and Margaux McIntyre, Michael and Katherine Sartiano. Predeceased by a sister Alma Heavren Chalifoux and her husband Louis, a brother Daniel Heavren and his wife Gloria and her brother-in-law Edward Budds. Lucille was born in New Haven December 20, 1917 daughter of the late Daniel & Julia Shevlin Heavren. She graduated from Commercial High School, New Haven in 1935. Prior to her retirement in 1975 she worked for the State of CT as Secretary to the Dean of Students at SCSC and SNET as secretary in the commercial department. Mrs. McIntyre was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in Hamden, served as President of Our Lady's League, was a Board Member of Blessed Sacrament's Parish Council, was a member of the Knights of Columbiettes-Fr. Cavanaugh Council and a parishioner of St. Rita's Church in Hamden. Lucille enjoyed many vacations with her husband on cruises and traveling Europe, loved spending time with her grandchildren, was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriot and UCONN Women's Basketball fan, and was a TV contestant on the game show Concentration back in the early 1960's and loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Many thanks to her beloved sister Mary Budds for her many visits, and special friends Linda & Jeffrey Houle of Wallingford. In addition special thanks to the Staff of the Madison House for their support and care of mom at the end of her life. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden, Saturday at 9:30 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rita Church. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
