Elizabeth O’Connell “Betty,” 85, past peacefully into God’s loving arms November 2, 2012 with her family at her side. Daughter to the late James and Elizabeth McGreal and predeceased by her loving husband Roger, sister Mary Richards and brother James McGreal. Elizabeth was a proud graduate of the Saint Raphael School of Nursing and was a dedicated nurse for 40 years. She loved Christmas, family vacations in Clinton and Block Island and was an avid UConn fan. She was a wonderful piano player and loved going to see her grandchildren’s sporting events. She leaves her loving sons Roger and Paul, their wives Dana and Lynn, respectively, and her greatest joys in life, her grandchildren Erin, Kevin, Sean and Sara. She will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts and will walk with us on the beach on those sunny summer days. The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Mary’s Home for their compassionate care during her last years.

Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Tuesday at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rita Church. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 - 7 pm.
