In Branford, October 29, 2012 Winifred J. (McGarry) Ross 87, of Branford, formerly of New Haven. Wife of the late Frederick D. Ross. Loving mother of Attorney Frederick D. Ross, Jr. of New Haven and Susan Aube of Branford. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren Frederick D. "Rick" Ross, III and his wife Katey Bamberg and their children Emily and Declan of Branford, Megan Ross Jenkins and her husband J. Latham and their children John "Jack" and Genevieve of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Phoebe and Charles "Chad" Aube and their daughter Ava of Berkeley, California and John "Jack" Aube of Branford She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews both in Connecticut and around the country. She was predeceased by sisters Dr. Mary McGarry McLaughlin and Elizabeth McGarry Houlihan. Mrs. Ross was born in New Haven November 13, 1924 daughter of the late William J. and Winifred (Reynolds) McGarry of New Haven and County Leitrim, Ireland. Prior to her retirement she was a teacher at the St. Aedan Parochial School. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 am in St. Aedan Church. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
