In Waterbury,Oct.15,2012,Joseph P. Schilpp,91,of Bethany. Beloved husband of Ada M. Shove Schilpp. Father of Jo-Ann Barrett of Waterbury ,Linda Hitchcock of Andover,VT and the late Peter Schilpp. Grandfather of Brandy and Jeremy Barrett,Peter and Samantha Schilpp and Scott,Keith and Jennifer Hitchcock. Brother of Sue Lichorwic of FL. Also survived by many great grandchildren. BOrn Feb. 26,1921 in Baltimore,MD a son of the late Fred G. and Caroline Schilpp, he served with the US Coast Guard during WWII and had been employed as a steamfitter for over sixty five years for several area companies including Fosket and Bishop of New Haven. He was a lifetime member of Pipefitters Union Local # 777 and was a member of the Bethany Senior Center.

Funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home,3105 Whitney Ave.,Hamden. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday morning,prior to the service from 10:00-11:00.
